Welcome to my Web page. My name is Avimanyu Datta and I am a doctoral candidate at the College of Business, Washington State University (Department of Entrepreneurship and Information Systems).
Currently I am investigating technology mediated commercialization of innovations. My career objective as of now is three fold:
  1. To develop and test theories, and create knowledge, comprehending the impact of technology toward innovation, commercialization and entrepreneurship.
  2. To simplify the findings in order to incorporate them into class room teachings and lectures.
  3. To synthesize the findings, in order to make prescriptive recommendation for practitioners.
Since, I have my back ground in information systems, specifically I am seeing the effect of IT on commercialization of innovations. In doing so I am looking at the knowledge based view of firm and investigating roles of Networks & Resources, Ambidexterity, and Absorptive Capacity to explain Commercialization, and how IT plays a significant role as mediators and moderators. My research, thus spans across, Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, Strategy and Innovation.
