Welcome to my Web page.
I am an Assistant Professor in the College of Business, at Illinois State University. I hold a PhD in Business Administration from Washington State University. My research interest revolves around entrepreneurial activities surrounding sourcing and commercialization of radical innovations, especially in the IT and Hi-tech sectors. Further I am also interested in investigating the relations between Social Networks and Social Entrepreneurship. In addition, I am also involved in a long term project in tracking the innovation chain of Top 500 Global companies based on their R&D investments, patents, and commercialization of innovations. The work is also geared towards recognizing emerging markets and understanding how top firms tap those markets. I am also using the data to create a ranking system for firms that are excellent in commercialization of innovations. To know more about my research please feel free to download my Curriculum Vitae.

Before starting my doctoral education, I was an Industry Analyst with Frost & Sullivan, where I estimated market sizes for Contact Centers, IT Service Management and so forth. I was also an analyst with Access Market International (AMI)-Partners where research work has been quoted in the top practitioner Business and IT magazines worldwide, including: Business Week, Transworld News, Yahoo Business, Network Magazine, CIO, CXO, CRN, DataQuest and so forth.  I have analyzed IT adoption and spending trends among the following Verticals: Manufacturing, BFSI, Professional Services, Health Care, and Travel & Tourism across 40 countries. IT adoption and Spending Trends include from Basic PC adoption to hosted and installed ERP and CRM. In short 50 categories of IT products and services.

In my spare time I try to communicate with brush, charcoal, on canvas or paper. My work is inspired from Dali and Picasso’s complexities of dimensions. In addition, I like trying out several blends of coffee, provided they are brewed on a 15+ pump espresso maker.
